Absolutely stunning hotel in a great location. The staff were wonderful and made our stay really comfortable. The rooms are beautiful and the breakfast trolley is a wonderful touch. We would love to come back.
We had a room on the front of the property and there was quite a lot of street noise. We asked to be moved and we were given a beautiful suite on the other side of the building with a gorgeous view of the river. If you stay here, it is definitely worth booking a room with a view and checking which side of the building your room is on.

Location was the best. The breakfast in our room was amazing and the staff were very helpful. Loved that it was locked 24/7 and you needed a key to enter the building
No elevator

Good central location around corner from a main shopping street. Easy walking to all central sites. As others have said an extraordinary delicious breakfast trolley delivered in room each morning including cooked items with salad, charcuterie, warm pastries/bread, fresh fruit, yoghurt, juice and hot beverages. All staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Room was impressively spacious with windows that opened over the street below. With the high ceilings and historic features of the rooms we really did feel like we were living in a palace room!
Because room 4 was on the corner of the building overlooking the street one side and a public stairway on the other there was a lot of noise overnight on Fri/Sat from revellers and some traffic. Earbuds provided were welcome and very useful to block out the noise. Shower floor was very slippery when wet so would be useful to provide a nonslip shower mat. Box of tissues would be a useful addition to amenities.
