Dorstan House

It was near public transport, nice and quiet, lovely room, city information provided, nice and clean, parking available. The owner was very nice. Breakfast treats were a lovely surprise in our room each day.

No top sheet on bed but that seems fairly standard in the U.K. The TV was very small. Otherwise, all great. No lift so you have to carry bags upstairs. Probably not suitable if you’re frail.

La casa e la stanza sono molto accoglienti, sembra di stare a casa. Zona molto comoda con autobus che arrivano in centro città in pochi minuti. Il proprierio Richard è molto gentile e disponibile.

The room was very clean on arrival. Continental breakfast was lovely too. Our room was cleaned every day too.

We arrived at 4pm and there were no staff at the hotel, we were emailed two days before with instructions on how to gain access to the building and our room, which was good. But, would of liked to have met the owners on arrival so, we knew who they were. 3 days later I met them both by accident, my husband met Richard in the car park on the tueday so he told me who he was. Lovely couple but, thats my personal.preference and would like to specify that it matters to meet the people who are staying in your B&B. That said, the location is great, buses are only a few minutes away, plenty of useful leaflets about avtivities in Efinburgh and clear notices available in the foyer too.

Very clean Comfortable bed Small single room Didn't use them, but there were draw spaces if you were staying for longer

You have to walk a little way along the corridor to the bathroom which has a pin code to enter - really not bad at all, just slightly inconvenient and worried about waking the nextdoor guest when getting up early! No recycling facilities - just one bin and breakfast with lots of packaging as it was wrapped goods in a basket.
