ibis Styles Istanbul Bomonti

My wife and I stayed at ibis Styles Hotel in Bomonti for 3 full weeks. The cleanliness was great. Our cleaning lady made our stay so much nicer with daily visits and nice attitude, always cheerful and friendly, thank you Gulay, you’re truly a gem in this hotel. Special thanks also goes for restaurant host, Riza who is always friendly and eager to help. Other staff in hotel is very nice and friendly too. As far as room is concerned, it was spacious, well designed interior, clean and comfortable. We had spacious balcony. There is a kitchenette (no utensils, only microwave). The breakfast is top notch. They don’t have dinner at hotel, but you can order from a nearby restaurant which has really nice food. We are someone who pays a lot of attention to cleanliness and comfort, and this hotel is rare case where we can give absolute 10.

Wifi was only working on the groud floor, smelly carpet in the room, i ordered pizza to my room i wouldnt recommend to do that. They claim to serve starbucks coffee; well it was twice more expensive and very tasteless

The family suite was spacious and comfortable (one room had a odd humid smell though).

Unfortunately, the overall experience was poor and well below the standard I would expect from an Ibis hotel. The underground parking garage is extremely difficult to use. The corners are so tight that with a normal-sized car you have to reverse and reposition in almost every turn, often while still on the ramp. In my opinion, the garage is only really suitable for very small cars. I also asked for an ironing set. I was given THREE irons that were defective or visibly in very poor condition. One of them caused the electricity in the room to trip multiple times! I had to call and return to reception several times before the issue was finally resolved, and only the following morning was a proper iron provided. The Wi-Fi was another major problem. At first, we were given instructions on how to connect through the Ibis website. When this did not work and I returned to reception the next morning, I was casually told that there was a general problem and that the hotel effectively had no functioning Wi-Fi. For a hotel used by business travellers, this is simply not acceptable. Finally, I had requested an invoice in my company’s name when making the reservation. I repeated the request at check-out and was told it would be prepared and emailed to me. A week later, after receiving nothing, I contacted the hotel again and was once more told that the invoice would be sent shortly. Several more days have now passed and I still have not received it. These are not isolated minor issues. Parking, basic room equipment, Wi-Fi and invoicing are all basic hotel services, and too many of them failed during this stay. Overall, this was a disappointing experience and not the level of quality I normally associate with Ibis.
