Regency Rooms Guesthouse

First up these rooms are above a party venue. They are not next door or across the road but actually in the same building. This is not made clear in the listing which annoys me. This is low cost accommodation so the standard fits the price. Suited us as we were barely there - we just needed a bed for the night in a central location, no frills. The bed and shower were good and it is indeed right in the town.

Not being made aware of the party venue downstairs - an event with music was in full swing when we arrived. We could see the party goers from our window….. Although extensive instructions were sent as to how to access the property we could have done with directions to the actual building as there is nothing to show you have arrived at Regency Rooms. The door is in fact at the back of The Storyteller venue. Everything else was as expected. Don’t complain about no parking etc when it is clearly stated that there isn’t any!

Clean, solid architecture, pleasing to the soul . Not gentrified . Tidy.

Lovely room with all amenities you need. Lovely period sash windows and monsoon shower. Great for the price. Easy to get keys.

Very hard to find, could have done with a sign outside. Quite loud on the road at night.

Local.good for shops & restaurants, good value for 1 night.
