Extremely dirty, absolut disgusting
Linen was not changed from last person. Dog was there and just went in the rooms. It was smelling really bad. The dog was barking at the people arriving and one time even puked in the hallway.
The service was so bad. I had extremely heavy, luggage and asked did I can stay in a room in first level to not need to carry the luggage up the tight stairs. No, was not possible. But the rooms were empty for all of my stay

Friendly staff, good comfort and facilities. Great iconic halal restaurants nearby, a comedy club, and very close (by car) to downtown Detroit.
Parking could be tough to find in the neighbourhood. It was a little dustier than last time I stayed but definitely not atrocious or anything. Also, a smoother check-in process for those without a US phone plan would be nice.

The location to the bus stop and the bed was comfortable.
The room wasn't nice, it had wood flooring which felt dirty. The three bathrooms in the hostel were really dirty, we had to keep our flip flops on while in the shower, the floors in the bathrooms were dirty and had hairs all over them plus the shower plug holes were full of hairs aswell, so not good.

Hamtramck is a great place to stay. I felt very safe and there are great Yemeni restaurants nearby.
The bed light did not work. The matrass was too soft.
