Hotel Casa Evora - luxury and beach front

I really enjoyed my stay at Casa Évora. The accommodation is comfortable, simple and elegant, and the location is excellent — you really get the best of both worlds. It is right in the centre of the village, while offering beautiful views of Maio beach, and is only about a 20-minute walk from the stunning and quieter Ponta Preta beach. The internet connection was reliable enough for me to work and consistently hold one-hour online meetings, which was particularly important for me. Breakfast was good and appropriate to what is locally available. I also appreciated the flexibility of the owner, which made the stay feel easy and relaxed. Overall, a lovely place to stay, especially if you want to experience the village while still having access to beautiful beaches and a quieter side of Maio.

There wasn’t really anything I didn’t like about my stay. If I had to mention one small thing, it would be that the fan could perhaps be a little more powerful, as Maio can get extremely hot.

Le petit déjeuné était excellent juste c’était pas totalement transparent qu’il y avait un supplément pour un petit déjeuné complet. Petit déjeuné basique inclus dans la réservation mais complet il faut un supplément. Le personnel est super. Très pro disponible et bienveillant. L’emplacement est parfait face à la mer 👌🏽 La playlist du gérant 10/10 Le gérant est courtois et de bons conseils. Je conseille Casa Evora pour un séjour à l’île de Maio à 1000%

We took the suite and had a nice sea view. Breakfast is nice but every piece is counted. Maio has nice beaches.

There's no airco in this hotel, so you have to sleep with open windows because the climate is humid and warm. But it's impossible to sleep with open windows because of the street noise, the mosquitos, the street lights. The suite had only cold water in the shower. The jacuzzi in the suite doesn't work.
