Esca le trappole di granchio al tuo arrivo con pesce, pollo o qualsiasi altra cosa e molto probabilmente ti sveglierai per uno spuntino o un pasto. Il granchio di pietra è deliziosamente dolce. La regola per quelli è prendere un artiglio (che rilascerà, se tiri giusto) e rilasciare il granchio indietro per garantire più futuro granchio di pietra.
Se la pesca non è la tua passione, rilassati, nuota, ascolta la musica e goditi il panorama. La spiaggia è a soli 5 minuti lungo la strada con alcuni ristoranti nelle vicinanze. Ci piace molto "The West End Marina and restaurant" in fondo alla strada nell'isola del mare. C'è un casual Sand Bar Grill, dove c'è sempre una band dal vivo o qualcosa del genere. Ottimo cibo e bevande con vista sull'acqua. Al piano superiore è più di una cucina raffinata "The West End Restaurant". Jamaica Beach è vicino a molte delle attrazioni preferite di Galveston. Venti minuti da Schliterbahn e Pleasure Pier. Abbiamo la nostra polizia / vigili del fuoco, negozio di alimentari, negozio di liquori e due chiese.
Siamo ombreggiati tutto il giorno sotto il portico coperto poiché siamo rivolti verso est e il lotto della porta accanto è vuoto, quindi durante l'estate avrai sempre la brezza sud e sud est.

House was nice, great place to fish! AC did not work well. This place was way too hot! Had a week of not sleeping well because of the heat. Sorry, but 80 degrees in a house is too much. Home was listed as a 3/2 but had one complete bathroom and a toilet downstairs in a utility room. Would have never rented this house if we’d known this. Listing was not accurately described by the owner.

The house was nice and we enjoyed our stay. However, we checked out on Sunday instead of Monday because I fell down on the last step before the dock. I would suggest that the owner paint a 4” wide red stripe all the way across it. I feel like I’m fine but went for exrays this morning to be sure. There needs to be a toilet bowl brush in the bathroom. Thank you.

This spot was perfectly located on a canal facing the rising sun in the mornings, shaded in the evening. Our dog enjoyed the fenced - in yard & cool floors inside. Our 5 year old grandson helped out on the dock securing the kayaks while Dad & Papa fished. I appreciated how clean everything was & the decorating inside was lovely yet easy to maintain. We gathered around the round table to play games in the heat of the day. Everyone enjoyed the kayaks & the setup for fishing, including rocking chairs for spectators. Only thing that would’ve been better is if the fish were biting!

The property is beautiful and extremely clean. The views are breathtaking!! My only complaint was the second “bathroom” was only a toilet , no sink, the door doesn’t lock, and there’s no sink. So to me an accurate listing would be 3 bedrooms, one bath.

When I booked, it was just for my husband and son and 1 dog! It was our first vacay bringing a pet, I was pleasantly surprised how great this place would work out! The whole area is fenced with lots of room to run around! Our great friends had a cancellation of a baseball tournament, so they joined us last minute. The bunk room is where the boys slept and plenty of room for another couple.. so we for 6 comfortably! It has one full bathroom that made it a challenge, but there is a secret bathroom down stairs that remained a secret for 24 hours LOL and I preferred it that way 😂.. we brought fishing kayaks, caught fish, crabs in the traps, and enjoyed the breeze. Spent a day at the beach.. I loved how we never felt the crowds of a holiday weekend! We would love to be back, the joy of having our pets with us without a worry, made it more amazing! Cold Ac which was a huge bonus.. it was SO HOT/humid this weekend!

We loved this home. Currently looking to book again. Amazing communication with the owner and property is beautiful, especially the updated interior of the home. Kayaks available to use which was super fun! Pet friendly and completely fenced in. All of the exterior gates make it perfect for young children's safety.

We enjoyed our stay so much! The property was perfect for what we were looking for!! Fish and crabs were scarce but the view and peacefulness of being on the water more than made up for it. We did catch a few keepers and our youngest hooked a big red and says he is “fish whisperer.” The green light in the water is amazing! It was fun to watch the fish. There was one really large fish that kept lurking around but wouldn’t take the bait. Would definitely stay there again!

Plenty of seating inside and outside. Dock made fishing and crabbing so easy we never had to go anywhere else. Downtown is about 20 minutes away which made the location great. Several nice restaurants and markets nearby. Will definitely book this place again.

Couldn’t be more pleased with the property and process. Owner was totally accommodating and the house was fantastic. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Plenty of seating inside and outside. Dock made fishing and crabbing so easy we never had to go anywhere else. Downtown is about 20 minutes away which made the location great. Several nice restaurants and markets nearby. Will definitely book this place again.

The process was quick easy and painless. Beautiful house and property. Was clean and would definitely recommend staying at this location. Location for fishing was great but we went on the coldest weekend possible with no fishing rewards but still had a blast. Crab traps were used before we had arrived and we're already in the water loaded with bait. No complaints on my end.

Great place!
Just as advertised, right in a cul de sac of the canal, super quiet neighborhood, easy to get to. House was immaculate, plenty of supplies for cooking the crab or fish if you wanted to do so. Yard is of decent size, more than enough for our 2 small dogs. Check in was easy, I booked the night before we arrived, within 10 minutes had a message with check in instructions from the owner. There are kayaks, floaties, cornhole boards, small charcoal grill, crab pot, and old ice chests for holding the fish and crabVery nice place, would definetly rent again.

Great bay view
We loved our stay here. The property has a great view (better than the pictures online can show) and was very relaxing. The canal is wide. The kayaks that came with rental were so appreciated. We kayaked multiple times a day.
The underwater light was broken by a prior renter but the owner had it repaired during our stay, which we really appreciated. Easy to fish (although nothing large was biting during the heat of August) and out of the sun during the evening.
Beds and bedrooms were great. Bring toilet paper. (There is some when you arrive but not extra). Kitchen has plenty of stock pots. There is a coffee grinder and most things you need. The only thing I found myself wishing it had was an extra large bowl. That’s pretty good for a rental!
We loved that we could bring our dog. He could run around freely.
It’s also ridiculously easy to get the beach.

It was amazing. Quiet relaxing confy the only thing we didnt like was the grill.. Its old and dirty... But other than that everything else was perfect.

Me and my wife were shocked how good the inside of the house looked. We also read previous reviews of the house before renting it for the week and other people mention about the house. Was in a good location. I talked to one of the neighbors and was friendly. We definitely like this one more than the other house we rented for before and would rent again. This is the perfect location for a West Bay fishing vacation. You can’t ask for much better access to great fishing spots in West Galveston in Bayside in this property. We fish mechanic in from the boat dock to catching fish is less than five minutes. The neighbors are great and the neighborhood is pretty quiet. We enjoyed our stay tremendously and I’m quite sure we will come again. One note however. It’s really only one bathroom. Downstairs has a toilet in the sink in the summertime it’s pretty much and usable because of the temperature down there. That’s really the only negative and that’s not enough of the negative for us not to stay there again. You look forward to coming back in and again in the future.

We stayed for 3 days, 2 nights. It was just my boyfriend, myself, and our two pets! The property was perfect for us! It rained just about the whole time we were there, but we really enjoyed watching the rain on the ocean! We did fish from the porch and crab as well! We caught some good sized crabs! This was our first time fishing so we weren’t really sure how to lol. But there were for sure fish around as we could see them through the fishing light! We even caught some baby drums and catfish in our crab traps! The property comes with many perks! All kinds of cooking ware , spices, and etc for a full stocked kitchen! There was some artificial bait left for fishing as well! (We ended up leaving ours behind for someone more experienced to use lol) Also included large metal crab traps, bbq pit, tons of relaxing seating, gated yard, etc! Our pups really didn’t want to leave either. I have one 70lb dog, and one 25lb dog ! One thing to keep in mind is the gate to the fences! One of them does have a little gap where the gate closes so if you have a small dog (25lb or less) just keep an eye out! We put a concrete block in front of it and they weren’t able to squeeze through so it wasn’t an issue at all. The gating is in great condition too! So pups can’t break out. The strand was about a 20-30 min drive. During our stay we visited the strand with our pups! Over all, great place to stay and I will for sure be back!

Great Galveston Getaway House!
This was a great place to stay! We'd never been to Galveston so we were guessing but chose this house because it had a fenced in yard for the dogs. It was perfect!
We loved the location, quiet yet close to the beach and right on the canal. We stayed Tuesday-Thursday and there was no one in the houses around us. The fishing off the docks was great! They had chicken in the crab traps when we arrived and there were already crab in them! We took home 2 red fish and a speckled trout and caught so many more, it was a blast!
The location was so convenient to the quiet end of the beach. We had our 2 dogs with us and it was so nice to be able to just let them run around in the fenced yard while we fished. We didn't use the amenities of the house much but the bed we slept in was really comfortable.
We didn't have any contact with the owner, which was just fine, there were no issues. We would definitely stay here again!

Saved our weekend!
My fiancé and I had another property booked to celebrate our engagement. That owner cancelled our reservation the day of check-in due to their concern about COVID and the weather. We reached out to Ron, who made his property available that same day! It turned out to be way better than our first selection. The house was pristine and beautiful! The location was just what we needed for a quiet weekend. The gated yard was perfect for our little doggy. And Ron was super responsive to any messages. We really enjoyed our time here and hope to come back during warmer weather!
