This is a beautiful home. Massive, clean, and has a “warm, homey” feeling. I would definitely recommend this home for large family gatherings. 🐶👍

House is amazing, lots of room to cook and relax, ez access to lake, quiet road, no highway noise at all. Plenty of places to sleep too!!

The house was just like you see in the pictures, very clean and well appointed. I appreciated that many things had been labeled like the light switches, items in the cupboards and TV remotes. The beach is just right out the front door and we went for long walks each day. We would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful house with plenty of room for all and nice separate areas for people to gather. Many thoughtful extras are included. Nice to have the second kitchen. The location is quiet, just far enough away from the crowded tourist areas. Beach was lovely, and we enjoyed having campfires there. I rated cleanliness at 4 because the house is dog friendly and there was dog odor in the house.

We had a fantastic long weekend stay at the Blackwoods' wonderful home on Lake Michigan. House was super clean and we had plenty of space for our 6 guests; plus, it's located in a super quiet area of Door County. Be sure to get up early enough to watch the beautiful sunrises with your cup of coffee. Ted is one of most flexible, communicative and friendliest Vrbo hosts I have ever interacted with. Will definitely stay here again when we come back to Door County.

Kids anf adults enjoy the sandy beach. Have stayed before so we knew would have a good time.
Lots of sleeping room and space for games on the deck or hoops in backyard.

The house was fully equipped. Loved the property, the privacy and the closeness to the lake. The bikes provided were a plus! Our family of 12 really enjoyed our time together! Ted was great to work with. If you are booking this property in the heat of the summer note that there is no AC in the house, only two bedrooms have units in them. Overall a very positive experience.

This is our 2nd time staying at this location. Both times were simply amazing. The beach was great The water was a little cold this time of year unfortunately, but our 13 year old still found time to enjoy it! Had a fire on the beach almost every night. Clean property, nice and secluded. Ted is great with communication and always has the guests ready for a good time. If we vacation in Door County, this is the first property we look for. If you’ve read this far, just book it. You won’t regret it!

Had a lovely stay at this place! The beds were really comfortable, the kitchen(s) was very well equipped, and the home is set up nicely to have the dogs along without having a particular dog smell. Rather secluded but within an hour of any spot you'd want in Door County. Our host answered any questions we had and even helped us reconnect with some stuff we left behind. Would definitely stay again!
One thing to note, especially if traveling with a larger group of adults, is that most of the bedrooms have multiple beds in them - they're spaced out but if you need private rooms you'll want to adjust.

We enjoyed an amazing stay at this property. It is very well maintained! Very cleanly and tidy. Room for a big family and friends/kids. Kitchen fully stocked with all you would ever need. Lots of stuff in the garage like bikes, basketball, beach stuff, etc for activities. Private Beach is very quick walk across the small street. We really loved our stay here!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Blackwood’s property! The listing was accurate and there was lots of space for our group to spread out. The kitchen was very well stocked which we appreciated in comparison to some past places we’ve stayed. The view was gorgeous and the area quiet and peaceful. Would recommend a stay here to anyone!

Our stay was everything that we hoped for and more. The property was very clean, well equipped, and felt very homey, comfortable. We liked the setting in the woods and the view of Lake Michigan. You can walk quite a ways on the beach, or just sit and soak in the peace of the lake. The owner was very reachable and communicated well. I highly advise this property if you want a clean, peaceful, and beautiful vacation. We saw a couple of deer and a fox during our stay at the house. Best brithday ever!

We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend with our adult kids and grand dogs. Our son who was home on leave from the Navy proposed to his girlfriend on the beach next to the fire. It was so perfect! The house was plenty spacious for our group and was very clean. Ted communicated very well and was super helpful and accommodating. We would definitely stay here again!

This property was amazing! We spent a long weekend there with a group of 6 women celebrating turning 40 this year. It was amazing. We went on hikes, walked the beach, had bonfires on the beach and much more. The house was clean and tidy, well maintained and very spacious! This would be perfect for a group of people or a larger family.

Good property right on the water, just as described. Everything was good except they need a book with instructions for checkout and specifics on tv equipment, garbage day etc. Host was extremely responsive and helpful. Enjoyed our stay except for the rain!

This very thoughtfully appointed home would be great for larger family gatherings (adult children/couples & their families), as it affords spacious common areas, as well as private, well-separated sleeping and living spaces. There is a large room between two separate living areas with floor-to-ceiling windows & doors on two sides, and with two large kennels, where our dogs slept. The photos do not do the home justice, as it is even better than advertised. The beach on Lake Michigan was literally awesome (I hesitate to use that over-used word, but the view and experience are truly awe-inspiring!)

Such a great location with everything you could need. This was a perfect property for a group of friends to relax, take long Beach walks and craft. Ted was super responsive and great to work with.

This large home easily accommodated our group, including a toddler and 2 dogs. We appreciated being able to spread out in the 2 living areas, especially on our 2 rainy days. And the view from the expansive living room windows was spectacular, especially at sunrise.
The kitchen was plenty big and very well stocked, including quite a few spices. Having 2 refrigerators was a bonus.
The property itself is large, with a grassy area that was perfect for a little adventurer and a large concrete driveway for basketball, chalk, or a fire.
The beach was terrific. Being the end of September, we didn't exactly swim, but we got our feet wet, played in the sand and walked the dogs.
Ted was an amazing host. He was quick to respond when I had a question and was communicative without being intrusive. Definitely recommend!

Great location close enough to all attractions in Door County but far enough away to be peaceful. We were a little worried going up so late in the year, but the weather was beautiful and the lake temperatures were the warmest we ever had, the beach was wider then previous years. Looking forward to next year!

The house is large and very comfortable. More than enough rooms and beds for guests to relax and spread out. Proximity to the lake is amazing, just a short walk down the driveway, but you can still see and hear the lake from the house. Ted’s communication was top notch. Would stay here again for sure!

Perfect layout for our family gathering. There is two living areas so the couple with no kiddo, could stay up late watch tv, play music, they just close the connecting door. The other side had Grandma and the couple with the 1 year old.
The beach was great, we enjoyed it everyday. We had campfires on the beach. Nice sand beach for the 1 year old to enjoy. The place was clean, with a well equipped kitchen. We all had a great time. It’s a place you can really relax at.

We had such a great time with our 4 year old, 1 year old and 2 standard poodles. We loved being able to walk right outside to a very private feeling beach. The house had a dog room, crates, dog beds, toys and bowls. A little foot/dog shower in the mud room for rinsing after being at the beach. Lots of bicycles! My 4 year old enjoyed using the one with training wheels. One day had torrential rain so we played basketball and jumped in puddles at the house. The other days we went hiking and then came back to enjoy the beach. Great place for families and super pet friendly! A very large house, we actually only used about half of it! We hope to stay again and maybe have our parents join too for some quality time with their grandkids.

This is a nice place for multiple families, with enough space to not feel crowded. There are 2 separate living spaces connected only by a small hallway/dog kennel area. One area has 3 bedrooms, living room, larger kitchen, 2 baths, and a laundry room with a foot washing station. The other area has the nicer living room, dining area, small kitchen, loft, and 1.5 baths. Close the doors to the hallway and you have privacy between the 2 areas. The beach was private. The hosts were very helpful and responsive!

There were plenty of chairs and seating on the porch and chairs to use on the driveway and down at the beach. We enjoyed s’mores using the fire pit… yum! Indoors was cozy with lots of games and everything we would need. The house has lots of space to spread out for larger groups. The laundry room had a beach foot shower to wash sand off after the beach. We enjoyed the local wine there for us. Ted was very responsive before and during our stay. Thanks for sharing your space!

Six high school classmates spent their 25th girls’ trip in this great home. It was so peaceful to sit on the soft sand beach of Lake Michigan. The views from the house were magnificent.
A deer made a nightly visit.
The home was nicely decorated and the kitchen was well stocked. Beds were comfortable.
Ted was very accommodating and easy to work with.
