EBO Hotel Hangzhou Wulin

This was probably one of the best hotels we stayed at during our trip to China. The value for money is phenomenal. The rooms are spacious, modern, and very clean, while the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfast is good, with plenty of choice, and everything is regularly refilled. The location is excellent as well, basically right in the centre of Hangzhou. Our room was cleaned and restocked every day, and the smart TV even offers a wide selection of movies to watch. Another big plus is that there was absolutely no cigarette smell anywhere in the room, which can sometimes be an issue in hotels in China. The view from the 10th floor was also really nice. Overall, the entire experience was top-notch. We were extremely satisfied with our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel!

No complaints

The room was bigger than expected. The breakfast spread was good, and the overall atmosphere in the restaurant was pleasant. The restaurant staff also provided excellent service, even though there was only one staff member working on the morning of 27 Aug 2026.

There are two functioning lifts from the lobby to the guest rooms, although they are somewhat slow. One female staff member at reception was a little less welcoming when responding to our query about the latest possible check-out time. We believe she may also have been the staff member who responded to our message via Booking.com. That said, all the other staff we encountered were pleasant and helpful. When we checked out on 28 Aug, it was raining. As taxis are not allowed into the hotel compound, guests need to walk about 30 steps from the lobby to the main road to meet their taxi. We were a little surprised that no one at reception offered an umbrella or assistance for this short walk while we were waiting for our taxi. Perhaps this could be an area where the hotel could provide a little more assistance, particularly on rainy days. Given the hotel's high rating, we had expected a slightly more attentive level of service in this regard.
