Altwienerhof Boutique Hotel

The owner, Mr. Panus, is the sole of the Altwienerhof. He prepares breakfast every morning, hand-made, bio and fresh, and serves it to your room. The room was spacious and had the great charm of the old Vienna, including a cupboard kitchenette. If you like the opposite of sterile, glass-metal, cubical hotels rooms, then this one is right for you, as it has maintained a true Vienna feeling. Also you have good access to public transport and great restaurants nearby.

Unfortunately, like seemingly everywhere nowadays in our big Western European cities, one is forced to watch live the drug scene (and related disgraces of degrading human society) near and around the next-door beautiful metro station of Gumpendorfer Straße.

This is not a 5 Star hotel; however, it is an exceptional value in a great location. U-bahn station just across the street anda tram line a few short blocks the other way. Both connect to West Banhof. Many coffee shops and reasturants within walking distance. Mr. Panus is eager to please and honor any request. Breakfast in the room is excellent. The room is large and comfy.

Although the shower/bath is modern; it bugged me that in the shower, there were no grab bars or places to leave soap or shampoo.

The staff were friendly and the bed in the room was really nice

エレベーターがない　今回オーナーの人が大きな荷物を階上まで運んでくれた 洗面台の照明が壊れていて点灯しなかった　そのためか浴室が暗い シャワールームの入り口のガラスドアが半分しかなく、気を付けないと水がシャワールーム外に出てしまい浴室の床が濡れてしまう 朝食が8:00からとやや遅め ウイーン旧市街（Ringの中）からはやや遠く、周囲に観光地やレストランは少ない　ただし、シェーンブルン宮殿は近い
