Great location, room was great. Onsen was amazing. Views would have been incredible had it not been cloudy!

Had to pre book breakfast and dinner long in advance and theres nowhere close to eat dinner out.

The dinner and breakfast were superb, it was vey quaint and retro, great viewing of Fuji San, highly recommend. The staff were wonderful

Lived it all

We had the Mountain View room with traditional tatami mats. Thankfully Fuji was visible and we had amazing views of it from our room. There is also a viewing rooftop where you can see Fuji and surrounding lakes.The room itself was beautiful and traditional and staff came to set up the beds/mats on the floor. You also get lovely views of the lakes from the breakfast room. The breakfast was incredible, a traditional ryokan breakfast. We also used the public onsen. As a woman you get to choose your own robes which is a nice touch. A great stay.

It’s a traditional hotel and some aspects of the main hotel haven’t been updated since the 80s but everything is well maintained. The location is quite far from kawaguchiko station (half hour busy ride and a bit of a walk (15 mins in the dark or short taxi ride if you can get one) to restaurants.

チェックインの15分前にロビーに入ると真っ暗で営業して無いと思いました。 その後、従業員が出て来て耐用してくれました。 その他は夕食が和食なのに、お品書きが無く、係も外国の人なのでイマイチ、朝食も同じでこちらが聞かないとご飯のお代わりや、食後にデザート、コーヒーがあるのが分かりませんでした。
