De Vooroever

This is an old-fashioned hotel that reminded me of the vicarage I grew up in! I liked its character. Everything was clean and the bed was very comfortable - I got a great night’s sleep. The shower was also good once it got going, and the breakfast was perfectly fine.

Other guests will probably not appreciate the air in the pipes that makes the tap spit a bit of water at you before it settles down. The shower also takes a little while to warm up and still has two separate taps for hot and cold water. But that didn’t bother me much. The only thing I really disliked about this hotel is the Halloween clown with the motion sensor that makes it cackle at unsuspecting guests as they walk into Reception. That has to go - I hope it’s been taken away by the time the next guest arrives!
