I had my eye on this property 6 months prior to traveling to Italy and knew that it would go fast. The good reviews along with the pictures that speak for themselves were what allowed me to come to a easy decision to stay at the property. I did have 3 generational family visit and had not read about the stairs, yet it actually was fine because that is how rentals of this caliber get to be so beautiful with being so high up. Overall we had a fabulous time at the property. Enjoy it!

The apartment is ideally situated within a short walking distance of the Accademie and the Duomo, and not far from all other major sites. The apartment is very charming, spacious, brightly lit and clean and comfortable. We never tired of looking at the beautiful dome out of the window. Our host was very responsive and helpful. I highly recommend Bellavista apartment when staying in Florence!

This is a wonderful appartment with an amazing view of the Duomo. It is perfectly located, beautifully decorated and close to all key sites. It is clean and large enough to accomodate bigger groups: lots of space and confortable. Check in and check out were simple. There are lots of restaurants around and some mini-markets for those who want to cook at home. There are a few flights of stairs but it is not a deterrent. Air conditioning was essential - we were there during the heat wave, and it was functioning very well. Francesca was very responsive early on, even before our stay and all along. No complaints at all, we highly recommend.

Check in process stressful because I couldn’t get the app to open. When I contacted the host she said she wasn’t sure if she could get anyone to meet us at the property. Not helpful. Was able to load app and get in. Wish she would have warned us about the taxi strike as well. The property itself is fine, I think it’s 50 stairs or so, if you have anyone who can’t manage them. When you get into the property there are another 20 or so stairs to the upper bedroom, and one of our party hit his head on the very low roof at the top of the stairs. No sign there. Overall decent place in good location other than getting a taxi. One shower wasn’t draining and let the owner know and she told me the pipes are old. I emphasize that it wasn’t draining and she sent someone who fixed it. Washing machine leaked water all over the floor.Biggest issue is on our first night we went for dinner and upon return the key didn’t work. We attempted to contact owner for well over an hour with no response. 2 of our party badly needed to use the bathroom . Went to the pub on the corner and they refused to let them use the bathroom despite my offering to pay. We knocked on doors in the apartment complex out of emergency and some people downstairs let them use their bathroom, thankfully. Oh, the owner never did talk to me personally, and said we need to bring multiple keys with us. If you’re looking for customer care, guidance and recommendations this is not for you.
