Staff looked after us very well when we looked for food late in the evening. Top class service.

The property is set in spacious well maintained grounds with extensive views across the countryside. The rooms are large well appointed and comfortable.

We felt the menu in Cairns restaurant was a bit restrictive with a number of the items appearing as add ons to the main dish I.e build your on meal.

FOOD IN MAIN RESTAURANT WAS FIRST CLASS. BEAUTIFUL SETTING.

DIDN'T REALISE ROOM WAS NOT IN HOTEL! WENT INTO BAR, LOT OF YOUNG STAFF BUT NO LEADER! POOR SERVICE HOUSEKEEPING WAS LACKING, YOU CALLED IT A SUITE BUT THE DEFINITION DEFINITELY DIDN'T MATCH! ROOM WAS NOT CHECK PRIOR TO OUR ARRIVAL. BREAKFAST WAS OKAY BUT EXPECTED BETTER SELECTION. IN RESTAURANT IT WAS BAD PLANNING TO HAVE ALL THE TABLE SITTING SO CLOSE (IN A STRAIGHT LINE), WE COULD HEAR THE TABLE TWO DOWN FROM US ! BETTER USE OF ROOM, NICE VIEW WHEN THERE IS DAYLIGHT!! STAFF NEED TRAINED ON MENU, ( WHAT IS IN THE DISH).

The settings around the property, as well as the main building itself were pleasing to the eyes. The Bar and dinning areas are well presented. Food was to a reasonable standard and well presented.

The staff a bit immature in age required to be overseen by a more senior and knowledgeable outlook. not detracting from their willingness to please. Our stay was over shadowed by the fact that we were down graded from our initial suite to a smaller suite, albeit we were compensated with vouchers towards any food or drink we had. The rooms on the surface were clean and tidy but remnants of what appeared to be clumps of dog hair on the floor.
