Armie, the woman tending to our stay, made the experience for us. She is so warm and hospitable. Makes a FANTASTIC coconut cake (I want the recipe!). Gave great recommendations. And always met us with a smile upon our return. Our only regret is not having taken her up on her home cooked dinner. We will come back if for no other reason than to be around her and be taken care of by her.
The bed in our room was a little hard.

Staff were great (friendly, helpful, good communication). Breakfast (included) was also fantastic. Our room was nice and clean. Location was beautiful. Sintra is a stunning place.
Location (1/2 way up the hill) was inconvenient. It seemed easier to get to the touristy things from the town. Some thought/planning around travel is required. Our room's ceilings were slanted so definitely challenging for taller people. Hot water/water pressure was also a bit precarious.
