Radisson Collection Hotel, Waterfront Cape Town

The hotel is nicely located in Cape Town, offering beautiful ocean views and a decent gym with good-quality treadmills.

Unfortunately, the service, particularly at breakfast, was far below expectations. It was extremely inconsistent and inefficient. No one would proactively come to take our order, and getting served seemed to depend entirely on luck. At this price point, guests should be approached shortly after being seated, without having to constantly look for someone to assist them. To make matters worse, staff would sometimes clear our plates and cutlery while we were still using them. There seemed to be plenty of staff around, but a clear lack of coordination and proper training. The issue is not the number of employees, but how the service is managed. Additionally, the power outlets in our room stopped working for an entire night, which was another frustrating inconvenience.

Clean rooms, breakfast and excellent customer service

Loved the room and the breakfast. It's the best setting/location in CT which is why we book there. There was a man in reception who helped us all the time who was excellent! I did not get his name.

The service is not great at all. We had zero service at breakfast on the Sunday am. Our table wasn't cleaned properly, no one came near us, we got up and got our own coffee and no one came to take our order for a hot breakfast at all. The service at the pool was also barely existent. We were also booked on the 1st floor which is very noisy in the mornings.

Location is great

Hotel is under construction - which was only communicated to us after our non refundable booking was paid in full. There is workers on site daily - it spoils the view and the vibe. The entire pool area which is the main attraction on the beachfront is closed - really disappointed - especially for the price we paid
