Grand Hotel Misurina

Spacious rooms*, good breakfast, good staff, free onsite parking limited but good, convenient alternative free as well. View of the lake is lovely in the morning while having breakfast. It's 50m away. Misurina is a small town but we found two places to eat outside of the hotel, at walkable distance. Cortina d'Ampazzo is 10km/25 mins away. Spent a day shopping & lunch. Chose Misurina cos it reduces commute time to the main attractions: Tre Cima & Cadini di Misurina. The local bus alternative turned out to be a saviour from a potential disaster!

Very small bathrooms: marred the experience. When you have so much unnecessary space in the room, why not have a bigger bathroom. The shower area is crampy. @hotel manager, Remove the bidet & install a jet spray. Despite having a car, we had to commute by bus, wait 1.5hr in the bus queue to go up to the main attractions: Tre Cima & Cadini di Misurina, due to the limited parking even in late Sept. BOOK PARKING IN ADVANCE!

Such a delightful tranquil location after the bustle of Berlin, Prague, Salzburg. Staff were extremely helpful and calm. Lovely room with a lake view ... request a balcony too if you can ... very pleasant relaxing hotel .... we will possibly return again at some point on our various travels

Huge bedrooms and good shower room, with WC and bidet. Generous dinner buffet available, and cheaper than the set meal you are offered at check-in. Option for free use of indoor pool for guests. Overlooking the lake, with DeSpar supermarket below in same building (for stocking up).

Quite popular with tour groups and whilst staff were very attentive, the large dining room could be hectic in high season. In September, meal times were busy.

Location for hiking

A bit like the hotel from the Shining!
