Location is fantastic, just a short stroll from the Cathedral and the town centre. Being right on the river is also incredibly pretty. The room was spacious, and the coffee machine was a nice touch. The bed was very comfortable. The staff on the reception were very welcoming as well. Breakfast was enjoyable as well.

It's just all a bit tatty. We stayed in the 'new' part, and it feels like it is falling apart. There is paint chipped and peeling everywhere. In the bathroom the silicon seals have gone mouldy, the bath fittings have rust on them. The grouting is missing or gone a different colour. The windows are single glazed and covered with dew in the morning. It just feels like it needs a refresh which is such a shame. I know times are tough but when you're not occupied send the handy man in. A few hours will make a massive difference.

Lovely large room overlooking garden and river. Room had coffee machine and kettle for tea and hot chocolate and complementary biscuits. Large king size bed and dressing gowns. The hotel was close to town centre.

The only complaint was the cups in the room had not been washed.

The location was brilliant. A short walk to the cathedral and a lovely view of the river from our room.

The hotel badly needs redecorating. It is a bit shabby and the decor of lots of brown looks like it was chosen in the 1980s
