I liked the comfortable bed, good shower, the little tissue packages, the kitchenware and fridge and selection of coffee and teas. The table and chairs were handy and there were plenty of electrical outlets in all needed places. I selected it for the gym and pool. The pool seemed to be 15 meters, which was ok for a swim. good equipment in the gym although I couldn't get the treadmill to work even though the power was on. I liked that I could open the windows for air.

1. It was grubby. There were stains - removable ones - on the curtains, walls, suitcase space. While the bed and shower felt clean, the rest of the room felt grimy - like it needed a good spring clean where you wipe everything down. I can't really relax when it feels dirty. 2. The pool was a good size but it was filthy - lots of rubbish and dirt. I saw families using it late in the day so I went in the morning, but when it is being used so heavily, it needs vacuuming. The gym equipment and weights were good choices, but I couldn't get the treadmill to work, even when all the power appeared on. The selection board was dead - no lights or anything. I used the elliptical without issue instead. 3. I chose the Copthorne because I wanted a hotel not a motel. My room looked out onto my car and the carpark, but it only had a blackout curtain not a sheer, so I felt incredibly exposed but also vulnerable; even though there wasn't much traffic around the back of the building, that made me feel even more unsafe - like no one would see if someone tried to break into the car or my room.
