Hotel Schöneberg

Very friendly staff! Extremely clean and comfortable rooms !

The property is in a very old building, and I would guess it was updated in the 1950-60s. Many of the appointments from those eras have been retained. (For example, an ashtray bolted to the wall in front of the toilet. I guess now it could be used now for your cell phone hahaha.) They have kept many of the beautiful things--huge stained glass windows, a grand staircase, high ceilings and ornate moldings, among others.) The staff were quite nice and very helpful. The immediate neighborhood has a thousand restaurants and stores, a post office, even a Woolworth's!

The hallway and stairway carpets are threadbare, causing a couple of minor trips. However, the carpeting in the rooms is newer and of obvious quality. The happy hour offered could have had some real drinks--all they have in the lovely bar is beer! Well, it is Germany. This stuff is minor, though. My stay was great!

Well located. Excellent shower. Very accommodating staff. Quiet.

It would be useful to have extra pillows.

Very clean, safe, reasonably priced, convenient neighborhood, nice location for restaurants and shopping.
