The Harmonie Vienna, BW Premier Collection

We stayed at this hotel for the second time and really appreciated the cleanliness and overall atmosphere. The room was very clean, with fresh towels and bed linen changed every two days. Our room was bright and exceptionally quiet. The walls are thick, so we could not hear the neighbors or noise from the corridor at all. The window shutters were also very effective at blocking street noise. The hotel has a beautiful and stylish design, and the location is excellent. The Wi-Fi worked very well, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Overall, the room and the hotel itself provided a very comfortable and relaxing stay.

Unfortunately, compared with our first stay, the breakfast has deteriorated significantly. The selection was quite small and consisted mostly of bread, pastries and porridge, much of which seemed rather low quality, almost as if it had been bought from a supermarket. There was very little variety, and the selection remained practically the same throughout the week. Some of the better-quality items, such as salmon, were available in very limited quantities. During busy breakfast hours, there could be only two portions for all the guests, so they disappeared almost immediately. We also found the coffee service inconvenient. Coffee is brought to your table as a service, which is nice, but if you want a second cup, guests are asked not to use the coffee machine themselves and instead have to wait for a staff member. There are not enough staff during busy periods, so sometimes a queue forms just to get another coffee. There does not seem to be an option to book a room without breakfast. Since the breakfast quality and selection have declined significantly compared with our previous stay, it would be much better if guests could choose whether to include breakfast in their booking. Another small but disappointing issue was the bed. We specifically requested one large double bed, but the room had two single beds pushed together instead. There was also only one bedside table, which was inconvenient for a room intended for two people.

Very clean! Friendly staff. Quite good breakfast, although the eggs were prepared too hard and salad was not a good quality every morning.

Too expensive, the price should be lower.

Lovely hotel in calm and practical location. Public transport just around the corner and short walk to many beautiful sights. Fabulous reception staff. The superior double rooms are elegant and spacious and the air conditioning was great.

The breakfast doesn't have that wow factor I expected from previous reviews I had read. It is in a small area and there isn't a huge selection, but you could find almost everything you need, if you are there early enough. I must admit the bed was slightly firmer than I would prefer, but it will be perfect for travellers who prefer a very firm bed. All in all, these two comments do not change the fact that this is a nice hotel. I would return if I visit Vienna again.

Staff extremely helpful advising us how to get to the palaces and anything else we needed to know. Room was very clean and comfortable. Lovely breakfast and excellent location
