Treasury Brisbane

Excellent location with many main attractions within walking distance. Great to be in an historic building with original art and extremely friendly helpful staff.

The historic Treasury Hotel is situated on a square in downtown Brisbane, a short distance from the river and its walkways, the Botanic Gardens and the central shopping precinct. It's also next door to the Casino, if that's your thing. The room was gracious, spacious and traditionally furnished, with high ceilings and big windows. The bed was large and comfortable, and the bathroom was large and well-appointed - it even had a separate bath, not something you get much these days, even if requested requested. The staff were also friendly and helpful.

It would've been nice to have access to the central courtyard, which the walkway alongside our room looked down on.

Location

Room was cold. Aircon not working properly. Arrived for breakfast before closing and were treated like we were imposing on them. Eating options are poor. Asked to wait while our room was inspected before our deposit was refunded - never happened before and I have travelled extensively. Very demeaning. This was supposed to be special for our anniversary- so much for that.
