Oaks Brisbane Festival Suites

Communication was excellent, and the entrance was clearly signed, making check-in easy. The staff were friendly and helpful. I was pleasantly surprised when I first opened the room door, as the space was very spacious, with a great little kitchen and a balcony. A bonus was being able to watch TV while having a shower, which meant I didn't miss the Bathurst 1000 while getting ready! When I unfortunately lost my room key while out, I sent a quick email during the night and received a prompt response, with a replacement key waiting for me at reception when I returned. The location was perfect for my needs in Brisbane, just a short distance from Queen Street Mall and Riverstage.

I honestly had a great stay and couldn't fault much. The only small improvement would be to have the TV mounted on a swivel bracket so it could be turned to watch from the balcony as well. Other than that, everything was convenient, the staff were helpful, and any issues were handled quickly and efficiently.

We contacted reception in person and asked for 1. The hair conditioner in the ensuite to be refilled, 2. Some tea bags 3. And some dish washing liquid so we could wash our breakfast dishes. It took two days and three request for this the happen. Not ideal 😕

The bed was comfy and location was fantastic.

The elevators were terrible. Myself and my partner were waiting 15-20 mins at a time to catch an elevator. The apartment we had was dated in some parts, not sure if they are all like that though. The shower had no pressure at all (lucky I didn’t need to wash my hair the weekend we were there).

The pillows were the only thing that was comfortable

I didn’t like that You had to wait half an hour for an elevator. I didn’t like that when I woke up in the morning my room smelt like rubbish as the rubbish shoots were overflowing. I also didn’t like that my window in the balcony didn’t open. I had an odd shaped room where our other family members balcony opened fully.
