Boutique Hoi An Resort

So picturesque. The pool was amazing and right on the beach. The front desk staff were wonderful, so helpful and willing to assist. It was low season so we were fortunate to be able to check in early and check out late. Breakfast was amazing.

I felt the wait staff at the pool could have been more proactive. We had lunch at the poolside and there were 2 staff at the bar but they didn’t clear the plates after we’d finished. I ending up asking them to do so.

Truly beautiful hotel.

The hotel is in a great position on the beach with great views and sense of space. The outdoor pool, bar and lawn were great. From what we saw, all rooms looked to have a good view and ours had a nice balcony.

Overall, the property is worn and needs some work on maintenance and a deep clean. There was a lot of attention paid to the lawn (which is lovely), but there were weeds and dead flowers everywhere else plus dirty external stairways. Our room was very small by Vietnam standards, with an absolutely tiny bathroom. The bathroom doors were saloon door style so offered zero privacy which isn’t really acceptable. The service was markedly not as good as everywhere else we stayed in Vietnam, and overall the hotel lacks a managerial presence. The food was the worst part. A tired, lacklustre buffet breakfast. A bbq evening with dried out, overcooked meat pre-cooked and sitting under heat before we even arrived, and the chefs sitting around nearby- awful!
