COMFORTABLE ROOM WITH SEA VIEW.

The property externally is quite smart and well presented compared to neighbouring properties. Very welcoming owners met on arrival made for a pleasant start. My room on the first floor was reached by a flight of carpeted stairs. My room was quiet, bright, well organised, clean and tidy, the en suite washroom facilities were compact, but in the same clean well maintained condition. The compact shower though not particularly powerful was more than adequate and easy to adjust with plenty of hot water quickly available The room in accord with the buildings history was solid and had a high ceiling with a good large window providing plenty of natural day light, with a side street view. Long thick curtains effectively and usefully blocked out all light during nighttime. The single bed, pillows and white sheets were comfortable. Electric kettle, coffee, tea and nice biscuits were provided, on a side desk, with nice period chair. The wall mounted television with hand remote had a selection of standard channels including vital ‘BBC news’. For people with more hair than me a hairdryer was signposted as available in a drawer. I found Alexanders Hotel at its current room rates to represent ‘Excellent value’ being very comfortable, with very kind and friendly owners and staff.

The room carpet near the desk and chair (kettle/drink point) had a few unfortunate marks and stains caused by past residents

Bed was comfortable

The shower was useless if you have long hair and want to wash it. Walls must be very thin as we could hear people bonking in next room. Would not recommend a stay in Hastings as it feels very unsafe and there isn't much to see.
