The room was very comfortable and a great size, the added bonus was the little dressing room

Room too stuffy

The view was brilliant but the windows were really quite dirty I don't know if it was because it was the end of the season. I cleaned hotel rooms in the 1980's and there were a couple of places that were a bit dirty, such as the bathroom skirting boards. But the suite was really nice, although the sofa is really uncomfortable and the armchairs need the seating pads replaced. A few cushions may be a good idea

It is a real shame that you can't sit outside

The staff were excellent

Not being able to have a meal on the night (Saturday) as the chef closed the kitchen because he was catering for a wedding. We had been out all day at the battle re enactment and then had to walk into town again as the restaurants near there were booked. There was also a mix up on the morning as I requested a breakfast box to be ready for us as the kitchen did not open until 8 and we needed to be on the 8.33 train. we were eventually offered some tinfoil but had to refuse as we were in a rush. Apparently they don``t do boxes because of Health and Safety? Our room was comfortable but a little dated.
