Mayfair Darjeeling

I had a wonderful stay at Mayfair Darjeeling. The property is beautiful, elegant, and has a wonderful old-world charm that perfectly complements the character of Darjeeling. What stood out most was the warm and attentive hospitality. The staff were courteous, welcoming, and always ready to help, making the entire stay comfortable and relaxing. The ambience, beautifully maintained gardens, food, and overall service added to the experience. The hotel also offers a lovely sense of peace and tranquillity away from the hustle and bustle of the town. It’s a place where you can genuinely slow down, enjoy the surroundings, and appreciate the beauty of the hills. Overall, Mayfair Darjeeling offers a memorable combination of heritage, comfort, hospitality, and location. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would be happy to return.

This Hotel is listed as a “Heritage Property,” but that is overpriced and overrated. The infrastructure is aging and out–of–date. I frequently almost got scalded with the shower mixing controls. For the price, the facilities are dated and inconvenient. I would rather stay in a Hotel (for the price I paid in Darjeeling) that had modern climate control and facilities. The rooms were draughty and often cold. The hot water bottles were cute, but I would much rather have automatic climate control in my room.
