Turtle Bay Boutique Hotel

Food was excellent. We had a beautifuel dinner on our last night with everything what makes Sri Lankan kitchen so, sooo good. The staff was very helpfuel and did all possible things and beyond the make us feel comfortable. The Ayurveda massage is highly recommendable for relax. Take you time for it. The rooms are nice with sea view. Very good pool and a beautifuel garden with direct access to the beach. Because of too high waves, due to the end of monsun season, we couldnt swim in the ocean. Thyts a pitty.The beach itsels is a huge sandy beach. Very beautifuel tropical beach.

The bathrooms could get a renovation. Everything was functional, but a bit outdated and used.

The Staff! Outstanding - nothing was a problem. High energy and lots of fun. The location was perfect and the food delicious x

My mother and I stayed at Turtle Bay for one week at the end of August and we had a wonderful time! The staff are all so kind and friendly and warm, they really go above and beyond to make sure you're having a comfortable stay. The daily included breakfast was fantastic, lots of fresh fruit, eggs, toast, etc. We mostly ate lunch and dinner at the hotel as well and we loved everything we had - especially the Sri Lankan curries! The room was comfortable with air con and plenty of space and a large bed. The pool was huge too and we enjoyed taking beach walks everyday (although the ocean was too rough and stormy to swim in). The hotel is located in quite a remote area so there is not a whole lot around you, which we absolutely loved as it was really peaceful and never busy with lots of people. As it was August, it was quite stormy but we still had some nice sunshine moments!! At night just bring earplugs as the wind and ocean can be very loud. We wanted to do a day trip to Udawalawe national park, and a day trip to Hiriketiya beach. Sarath the manager was so helpful, he organised a driver for these day trips, and a safari tour for us at a reasonable price and made our excursions very easy and smooth! We paid for everything at the end of the trip to the hotel which made it very easy for us as well. We really appreciate the warm hospitality and we would highly recommend Turtle Bay and would love to visit again one day soon!

There wasn't really anything we didn't like! The wifi connection could be a bit unstable and slow at times, but we didn't mind too much as we were on holiday. As mentioned, the wind and ocean could be quite loud at night in a storm but that's no fault of the hotel and did not really bother us - just perhaps bring earplugs with you incase you are a light sleeper. This might also be due to us visiting in the stormy season and Poya the staff said is known to be more stormy as well. The hotel was fantastic and I would highly recommend!

The hotel itself overall was lovely , the location is beautiful Views stunning A bit remote but that’s what we wanted , easy enough to get tuk tuk to shops Recommend local trying the local restaurants in the village :-))) Captain Jack restaurant manager so lovely (not his real name ) happy new year ! Beach is awesome

Shower needs a deep clean , mouldy , grubby & limescale not impressed for the rating of the hotel No mattress protectors yuk ! Sunbed mats grubby could do with a clean or replacing
