APA Hotel Kyoto Eki Horikawadori

Location and breakfast was amazing

Had to carry cases down the entrance stairs and they were heavy

Well maintained rooms . Comfortable bed

Room is less spacious but ok for a lone traveller

Beautiful hotel. Lovely staff.

The location

The room was even smaller than an APA Hotel room in Tokyo, and the bed was smaller as well. The lobby was constantly packed with people—there wasn't even enough space to check in, let alone find a seat while waiting. It was terribly overcrowded; there was no room to board the elevators, forcing me to wait in long lines—even while I was with my baby. The hotel lacks stroller or wheelchair access, and the area for luggage handling was also limited. Furthermore, the onsen was completely packed with people. Considering the price of the room—which was not cheap—what we received in return was terrible.
