The Malthouse

Despite there being no parking at the property, there is a good public car park nearby (please tell the customers!). The room was quite big, with a good bathroom, all clean. Breakfast had generous portions, and very cheap. Dinner was good too.

The room needed some maintenance. There was a loose socket in the bathroom. The window fastenings were broken. The view to the rear of the property reminds one of Ironbridge's industrial past. The main bar and restaurant is rather bare, noisy, and draughty. Only instant coffee is included in the breakfast price; better coffee must paid for. There were no bowls on the breakfast bar, but plenty of spilt water. We had the benefit of loud music from the kitchen, as well as different music in the restaurant! Altogether, a charming exterior lacked the homely touches inside.

Thought the property was excellent value for money especially considering it included a breakfast (which was really tasty) in the overall price. The room was a decent size for the short stay too. Lots of sockets for charging devices was helpful too.

Wasn’t much of anything we didn’t like. The room could’ve been a bit cleaner, nothing major just making sure areas are dusted and insides of drawers and around sinks fixtures are nice and clean.

The welcome was perfect, my room really good, nice and clean and spacious. Breakfast was amazing, freshly cooked and of the best quality. I had dinner and that was very good and tasty. The staff are so friendly and happy to help.
