Very fancy hotel in beautiful setting. The best hotel food we had in Japan, lots of gourmet specialties. A bit crowded in the dining room.
Onsen does not allow tattoos, even covered up! I'm a senior with a tiny tattoo and I didn't realize this ban until I got to Japan. I'm obviously not in a gang. Very disappointing, as the main reason I came to Japan was for the waters to heal my arthritis. The hotel should allow small tattoos covered up.

Great location in the center of Norborebetsu Onsen.. The spa baths were v clean and a great variety, and there were so many it never felt crowded despite the size of the hotel. Parking was either just across the road or under the building. Our western room was quite a good size with sofa and chair to relax on. Fridge and electric kettle were handy.
Like all Japanese hotels, the strick book in time was adhered to despite it being a wet cold day!!

Amazing place to land and enjoy the Onsens
Everything was wonderful- we did breakfast at the Onsens and hotel while eating dinners in the town

Nice onsen area, I prefer the breakfast to dinner buffet. The staff were friendly and helpful.
The room was very very very small. Our family of five was given one Japanese style room but there was barely any space left after the futons were laid out. The bathroom was a squeeze too and we had no place to hang our towels. Buffet dinner had variety but the taste was so so. No drinks included except ice water.
