I chose GrandMas because I needed a hotel close to the airport for a late international arrival and early domestic connection. The staff were helpful with my transfers and very communicative. Room itself was simple but seemed to be clean and had required amenities, including ear plugs for the traffic noise.
Likely I wouldn't choose GrandMas for a long-term stay in Bali, primarily because of the proximity to the road which has constant traffic noise. Pillows were a little high for my liking too so I didn't have the best sleep. For the budget conscious traveler and those who will not spend too much time in the hotel I think this is a good choice though.

We just needed somewhere to sleep for the night before heading up north the next morning. This hotel was close to the airport, basic and gave us a bed which is all we needed. It was good location for that.

We didn't sleep at this hotel, we only booked it after we had to leave our usual hotel at 1pm and our flight wasn't until 8.30pm that night. For the amount we paid, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Restaurant was good and the meals were nice. We had a swim in the pool which was clean but not very deep.
We were only here for a few hours it would not be a hotel that we would stay at for a holiday, its mainly backpackers that are looking for a cheap place to stay and it is very close to the airport but not close to shops or restaurants.
