Moon Hill Sintra

Very central to town & to train station. Easy to check in and have a card/code to come and go. Como is lovely restuarant attached and cute Tasca around corner. I had own room with ensuite and all fine, clean and comfortable.

Toilet ran a bit and extractor fan quite noisy but other wise no complaints, would stay here again..Great value.

A decent hostel in a great location. Easy to move around. Comforts are ok.

Check-in at 4PM is rather late. But ok.

I liked that the hostel, room and bathroom facilities were kept so clean! The location was very good - close to the station/taxi/bus stops, and a short-ish walk to town. Sites and attractions were also fairly easy to get to from the Hostel.

I think a vending machine would have been good to buy cold drinking water late when reception was closed - if I were nitpicking.

Cleaning

I think one of the employees (I will not mention his/her name) needs to improve himself/herself in customer service and guest relations. In such a big hostel, all dishes are washed by hand and there needs to be a dishwasher, after all it is a hostel with high circulation. The hair dryer is delivered by hand(?) Actually, booking.com says there is a hanger but there is no such thing, I asked for it to be delivered by hand, but that is not available either. There is no laundry in the hostel. If there is no laundry, how will a backpacker wash a single piece of laundry? Then, a place should be made to dry and hang it. Even if a piece of clothing is washed, it dries in 3 days. Just imagine what it will be like in a 4-person dormitory. The nearest market is 25 minutes and uphill. Do your shopping and then arrive at the hostel.
