La Rose Suites

I stayed at La Rose Suites for one full week. The hotel is conveniently located near major sightseeing, the lively riverside and government buildings. The place stuns from the moment you walk in with exceptional customer service and attention to detail (cold moist towels for refreshing your hands, always a glass of fresh water available etc., doors are opened, baggage taken to room seamlessly). The word 'very' is not enough to describe the level of helpfulness the staff demonstrates, they really make you feel special , even royal perhaps, with genuine friendliness and desire to make the stay as nice as possible. The room was large, modern and had everything you could possibly expect in a decent hotel. The bed was nice a firm and plenty of types of pillows to choose your favourite. I enjoyed the ample bathroom with a bath and large walk-in shower featuring modern, high-quality sanitary fixtures. There was even a large terrace with a table and chairs. The cleaning daily was spotless, and they even left a bowl of fresh fruit every day. What's also helpful is that the hotel is not directly on a big street and you almost don't hear any street noise. Overall, it’s so much different in a good way from the big chain hotels, I guess one of the motos there was to make every guest feel like home, and they succeeded.

The breakfast is overall good, and you can order as much as you like, but keep in mind that it is a la carte, so you are not able to take stuff from a buffet. At the same time, they have an all-day-breakfast concept where you can go and have your breakfast at 3 pm (which I did on one day) or split it so you have coffee in the morning and omelette in the afternoon.

The hotel was stylish and comfortable, but at the same time very charming and authentic - much more so than your standard modern high-rise hotel. The staff were absolutely fantastic: very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good also, and in hindsight I see the advantages of an a la carte menu. All in all it was a wonderful stay. I was there for work, but Phnom Penh is great to visit with the family. I'll book this hotel again next time.

Amazing rooms - oasis of calm and walking distance to interesting parts of PP. staff are amazing/ attentive & professional. The training foundation is a bonus.

Pool is tiny but lovely to have a cold dip in the city so not a problem really. Absolutely no complaints about anything - it’s a great hotel

Clean, comfortable

Price and staffs dealing problem: I have booked a room via Booking.com which shown that the price is included breakfast . When I check in the receptionist tole me not included breakfast and I didn’t check my booking details. At midnight I checked and saw the price included breakfast and shown it to the receptionist and she checked and said yes it included breakfast. But in the morning when I asked for breakfast the receptionist told me that “the price is not included breakfast, there was something wrong with Booking.com”.... (are you playing me????) this gave me a worse experience and impression of the hotel receptionist and problem dealing... as long as I haven’t received any information from Booking.com telling me that the price details they shown was wrong. As long as it is not my problem and they just put everything to Booking.com and there was no their responsibility, and even asked me just pay money for the breakfast and I can have it. I may not mind how much money for that breakfast, even I don’t need that breakfast but it should be my decision....but you gave me the feeling like I am cheated.... at first I booked the hotel because the price is better than others with the same conditions so that’s why I booked it, then you told me all this... I just don’t want to make it big. I don’t know who (Booking.com or the hotel) problem but it’s not my fault and I am the one has to take it.... Take care people don’t get cheated. Worst experience ever
