Mangrove Lodge

This really is a beautiful location. A peaceful and relaxing escape with friendly staff that are happy to go the extra mile to make your stay even better. A Family run business with Mr Haji and his son's, arranged some amazing tours and trips to Stone Town and the Spice Farm with a tour guide, taxi, entry paid and all topped off with a cooking lesson at the end of the day. Mangrove Lodge also works with the local village for employment making this a truly sustainable and fulfilling experience for everyone. 10/10 and a heart felt Well Done from us.

We soon saw past the bumpy access road. Mangrove Lodge was at the end and local Taxi Drivers do it all the time.

Beautiful setting … gardens and Zen magnificent. Food very good and team very friendly. Wonderful down the front of hotel watching life on the beach

Power blackouts …early evenings .. a few barking dogs nearby . The road in is small and very dirty

So friendly helpful and gracious. My husband was ill with the flu, they took excellent care of him checking in with ginger tea and soup.

All the foliage...

WI-FI was very poor, there was so much trash on the beach, my bed was too short--I'm 6"2'--had to sleep diagonally...Electricity went out twice over the two-day period I was there...The road leading to the lodge was very hard to navigate because of pot holes and mud...
