Edinburgh City Suites

The property is very well situated near Haymarket station, and a 15 minutes walk into Waverley station. It is fairly close to the hop on, hop off bus stop. It is also in a quiet and clean neighborhood just off a main artery for public transport. The room itself was very spacious and with high ceilings - we loved it. Other reviews will tell you that the furnishings and flooring is quite dated, and they are right, but it was clean and the beds were super comfortable and it made up for the rest. It is quite well equipped too and we prepared a great breakfast.

It is a little dated (flooring is vinyl)

Close to everything. This place is a walking distance - bus stop, stores and also close to my day tour which is operated by timberbush. Also, police station is just outside your window. Thank you.

The only thing that I didn’t like is there's no window cover by the sink. At night, you can easily be seen from a next building.

Great location in the West End. All of the amenities you would expect for a pleasant stay. No issues with obtaining the code via phone to enter the apartment and deposit was returned within 2 working days.

The rooms could definitely do with a touch up regarding decoration and furniture, as everything is quite dated. I would have expected that spotless, clean linen is provided between guests for hygiene reasons. Cleanliness could be improved by ensuring either new or extremely well cleaned linen is provided. The main beds were reasonable, however the pull out beds were unusable due to heavy stains alone. As we were a group of guys, we just bunked up on the double beds and didn't create a fuss, but this would be an issue if travelling with children or family etc.

Very spacious

Unfortunately it was not clean. The kitchen looked as if it had, had a quick wipe down and nothing more. Food splatters on the cupboard doors and over the splashback the cooker was also filthy. The bins had also not been emptied. The bedding was very dated and the pillows were lumpy. Real disappointment
