Citadines Michel Hamburg

Breakfast, the laundry, location

There was a low pitched noise every couple of minutes

It was clean, quiet, and the air conditioner worked perfectly while it was quite warm outside

it was all good!

Friendly staff, great location, cleanliness and overall vibe and comfort. Surprisingly, the complimentary coffee was very good.

Could not find foreign channels on the TV (CNN, BBC etc.)

Easy to locate using our GPS with short term parking right outside. The room was very large, comfortable and clean.

On arrival at reception, the receptionist was strutting about in the public area talking on the phone. We waited and waited for him to return to where he should have been. On returning (still on the phone) the client in front of us handed over his ID card and the registration was completed whilst the receptionist was STILL on the phone. Eventually it was our turn as the long telephone call had finished. Asked our details, looked in the folder - nothing. Looked on the computer - nothing. Have you booked this hotel and if so, under what name we were asked? Gave our details again, this time he found our booking documentation in the folder. By this time a considerable queue had formed and it was decided to call on another receptionist who was in the back office. I asked where the car park was: You needed to have reserved a space in advance was the response. But we did reserve a place and showed him the confirmation. Oh, in that case I need 90euros which I paid. Very poor first impression.
