La Siesta Classic Ma May

We were greeted immediately with very helpful staff assisting with cases. Check in was smooth and we were supplied with a cool towel and welcome tea. Unfortunately I arrived at this hotel poorly, and immediately got into bed and did not leave again until the next day. It was only a one night stay for our last night in Hanoi, and my husband and son spent the afternoon and evening shopping and exploring. I’m told that the sky bar and the breakfast were both great. With being poorly I didn’t see any of it. Of note, we were on the 10th floor, and the lift only goes to floor 9, so it’s one small flight of stairs to floor 10. Our room was clearly under the sky bar, as when I was trying to rest, the constant dragging/moving of stools kept me awake for much longer than I wanted to be. That was my only complaint, the stool/chair noise from above, and a hard bed. I’d go back, but I wouldn’t stay on 10th floor again due to this. Great pillows though!!!

Being under the sky bar was noisy with moving chairs and stools. It was really loud and rather annoying. I do think there are comparable hotels for a better price per night, however, I would stay here again, just not on the 10th floor under the sky bar. I found the bed rather hard too, but, as I discovered, this is throughout the whole of Vietnam, not just this hotel!!

The location was very good close to everything. Despite being situated in a busy area, its not loud at night in the room. The hotel also had gym facilities.

Breakfast was nice but is not halal friendly. Packed breakfast provided on our last day contained ham in the sandwich despite we clearly mentioned on the eve about our preference for non pork option. Staff should be careful when handling these types of situation. Hotel was a bit overpriced considering there are other cheaper options right nearby.

A truly incredible experience from the moment we arrived to the day we left La siesta Ma May really made an impression the rooms were incredible the food amazing and the staff what can I say were so helpful and welcoming it made us feel like family. Huge thanks to Jun for making our stay unforgettable 🤩

⭐ Overall Experience Overall, we had an okay stay at the hotel. The room and spa experience were fine, although there was nothing particularly exceptional that stood out.

Unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience regarding a lost iPhone during our stay. We reported the matter to the reception as soon as we noticed it and sought their assistance. However, we did not receive much support or follow-up in trying to locate the phone. What makes the situation particularly concerning is that the Find My iPhone location continues to show the last known location as the hotel room. This leaves us with two possibilities: either the phone is still somewhere in the room and has not been located, or someone may have taken it. We understand that the hotel may not be responsible for a lost personal item, but we expected more assistance in investigating the situation, especially given that the last known location was within the hotel. Apart from this incident, the overall stay and spa were satisfactory. However, the way the lost-phone situation was handled unfortunately affected our overall impression of the hotel. We hope the hotel management takes such incidents seriously and provides better assistance to guests in similar situations in the future.
