AFFITTACAMERE La Cattedrale

Antonio & Rosanna were excellent hosts who are clearly proud of their lovely home. The room was big & super comfortable. Breakfast was also very good. There is a beautiful roof terrace with plenty of seating & tables. From our room on the 2nd floor, I counted 48 steps, but worth it. The location (as the name suggests) is just around the corner from the beautiful cathedral & close to restaurants, bars & beaches.

We had a family room (for 2) with a small kitchen area. However, while there were mugs & a kettle, there were no teabags (we don't drink coffee). There was also a hob, but nothing to cook with, which didn't concern us as we wouldn't have used it, but it may be an issue for others. We brought some food back to the room for lunch, but the cupboards in the kitchen (& downstairs breakfast area) were locked so we had no access to plates & cutlery. I'm sure it would have been provided if we'd asked but we didn't want to disturb our hosts.

The location was excellent for monopoli and for rail links to other cities. The hosts were very lovely and welcoming.

There wasn't anything that I didn't like but more choice at breakfast would be good and a toaster. The apartment was tucked away just down a side street from the cathedral where you could hear people talking on the street sometimes.

Nothing. Be aware that only cash payments are acceptable. Seems to be the case in several Monopoli properties. We found it surprising having travelled the South (Lecce, Gallipoli, Otranto).

Antonio and Rosanna, you were the perfect welcoming hosts, answering all our questions and helping us arrange transportation for our day trips. Your homemade breakfast was top notch and the perfect way to start our day. The homemade marmalade is my favorite. We will definitely recommend your BnB to all our friends. Our room was modern, very clean and very comfortable and we enjoyed your rooftop terrace for a relaxing drink after a day of sight seeing. We will stay here again if we ever come this way again.

Everything was perfecto. There were a lot of stairs if your room was on the third floor but that is to be expected when you are in a renovated building in the old section of Monopoli. The stairs didn't put us off as it was part of the charm of the place.The location is close to everything.
