I loved the swahili breakfast! I could have it everyday and not be tired. The mbaazi is made to a perfect softness, the fruit arrangement on the plate is an artwork of its own. Then the staff are the most exceptional - friendly, courteous, kind and very professional. I really loved talking to all of them. Two names stand out - Joy, that works at the reception and I think Muko, a young man that works in the kitchen.

I wasnt quite ready for how earthy it could be. We walked indoors without shoes - part of the wellness therapy - to feel connection to the earth. But sometimes it rained and then there was sand all over and it wasnt the most pleasant experience walking barefoot then. Perhaps some snugly indoor slipper can do the trick.

I really enjoyed my stay at Banana House. The staff were warm, friendly, and welcoming, and the atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. The food was also amazing, and the place itself was beautiful.
