Staff all very friendly and welcoming. The setup was basic-efficient, which is fine for what you are paying. The room was excellent in size, cleanliness, quiet at night. Very comfy bed, good shower, plenty of parking.
Not a criticism but Talgarth is not Vegas. Its small and while its pretty there's not much to do in town. If stopping overnight and you just want a feed and a sleep its prob perfect, but limited as a place to see or do things. The quiet could be what you are after, and the hotel is well set up to give you lots of peace and quiet.

We chose this place as a convenient halfway stop on our journey, and it worked really well for us. The continental breakfast was simple but very pleasant, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming.
It had more of a warm, family-run feel rather than a formal hotel atmosphere, which made the stay feel relaxed and homely. A lovely place for a comfortable stopover.
One of the showers in the family room wasn’t working during our stay. It was more of a minor inconvenience than a major problem, but it would be good to have it checked for future guests.

Well located , room was big , great large bed!
Window didn’t shut properly, rate for a dog was outrageous at £25 each! Building work being done on level 2 … was not aware when I booked. Also read small print as car parking is extra.
