Location isolated, but very good.
I have a feeling it has been bought some time ago? The Retaurent has been beautifully restored to its original, old wourldy, and the upstairs Wii be done at a later stage, where some improvements are needed.. very nice people, had 2 good breakfasts, and one good evening meal.. it needs a little t l con the outside. The restaurant was full , which would indicate, the food was very good, overall. Very nice. Place, im sure it will be a top class venue in time.
I think , when some improvements are made to the front & garden areas, it will be excellent.

Breakfast was good, as was the beer.
For that price I would expect an en suite bathroom, not to have to walk down a corridor to find one.
Although clean inside, the exterior of the pub was shabby.
The evening meal was a surprise in many respects: several items on the menu were not available, the battered fish was good but should have been served with proper chips, not French Fries, and the Eton Mess was more of a meringue nest.
