Hotel Atlas

I had a room with a private bathroom. The bedroom, bathroom, sheets, and towels were all clean, and the bed was comfortable. The shower had great pressure and plenty of hot water. The ac worked quickly and well, and although I didn't use it there was a TV too. Location was fantastic - literally 30seconds walk to Jemaa el-fnaa, with a kiosk on the way selling snacks and chilled drinks. Unlike many riads it's also very easy to get to using Google maps (download an offline map of Marrakech beforehand) and if getting a taxi from the airport you can just ask them to take you to Jemaa el-fnaa, although the hotel contacted me offering to pre-book a taxi for me too. Definitely a budget hotel, but perfect as a base to explore the medina. Admittedly my expectations were low, but it still exceeded them.

The curtain was translucent, so when the corridor light came on it was obvious. There was some noise too, just from other guests moving through the hotel, but earplugs were enough to deal with that and every traveller should have earplugs anyway. Breakfast could be better, but it's plenty to set you up for the day and since it's cheap it's not like you're overpaying. I suppose for a couple the bedroom might have been a bit small, but it was fine for 1 person.

Bathrooms were well kept, the room didn’t have air conditioning but had a powerful fan to keep decently cool. Right next to the main square Jemaa el Fna, great location.

Room got very hot and there was little ventilation.

The location was definitely the best bit, barely a minute walk away from the markets and so many restaurants and juice bars and such a lively, friendly, amazing atmosphere. The beds were comfortable and the terrace was absolutely gorgeous and just tucked away enough that it was pleasantly calm despite the busy city being so close. The hotel was super helpful and proactive too, cooking breakfast, printing our boarding passes and sorting our taxis - efficient and friendly :)

The only thing was that sometimes the toilet paper was run out or there wasn't soap in some of the bathrooms, so just more keen updates on the bathrooms would have been appreciated!

The staff were incredibly slow and disorganized. The room was very small; there wasn't even anywhere to put a suitcase. The sheets were dirty and full of hair. The bathrooms were wet and dirty. Terrible, I don't recommend it.
