La Cucchetta

The most amazing accomodation for a nature lover. It is quiet even when it is all booked you barely see 10 people the whole day including staff. The place has a beautiful view, it is well loved, full of art, history and little details that put a smile on your face. Alessandra is very welcoming and everything runs smoothly without having to say much. The horses, sheep, birds and cats are wonderful to wake up to and the air is always fresh. The bed is comfy, water pressure good, breakfast delicious.

The internet is flimsy so if you plan on doing stuff online a lot bring your own. The road up from Dormelletto includes taking some tight curves so come with a trustworthy car. There are the usual inconveniences that come with being 'isolated' on a hill but it feels oh so lucky to be on this specific hill.

It is a very special and unique property, a short drive away from Lake Maggiore. Having a jacuzzi with a view of the horses running around at sunset was a magical experience. The breakfast spread was delicious and fresh. My son who is 6 loved the grounds and the animals and all the horse themed decor.

The cleaning in the bathroom upstairs could have been a little better. I would have liked a better description of the layout in the house. I assumed that the 2 bedrooms would be separate with their own private bathrooms but the house upstairs is open planned and the 2nd bathroom is downstairs. Due to the mix of our group, the lack of privacy was not ideal.

If we could give more than 5 stars, we absolutely would! La Cucchetta is one of those rare places that makes you smile from the moment you arrive until long after you’ve left. The hosts are great: warm, genuine, and incredibly welcoming. The B&B itself is beautiful, peaceful, and full of charm: a perfect place to unwind and enjoy nature and every morning we looked forward to breakfast and the homemade cakes :) But let’s be honest… the real stars of La Cucchetta have four paws! We completely fell in love with the sweetest dogs and cats, who greeted us every day as if we’d been friends forever. They brought so much joy to our stay and made leaving much harder than we expected. Thank you for making our stay so special. :)
