Château des marronniers

Amazing decor and beautifully decorated rooms.

Just a bit awkward as owners Olivier & Bridgette didn’t speak any English and our French is poor but we managed with phones translating- also it was a 15 minute drive to find some supper xx

Great location

The chateau has been restored to its former glory and correct to the period both inside and out. Including the furniture. The owner operators are friendly and helpful. The breakfast provided was fresh and with a lot of choices.

Nothing

Everything was beyond perfect. The hospitality of the family running this bed and breakfast is out of this world, they are super friendly, went out of their way to ensure we had a lovely stay and were very sympathetic. They even served us drinks and crepes in the evening as we arrived late after a long drive, have three young kids and weren’t up for eating out. We hadn’t expected them to serve us anything of course, but it was so sweet and kind of them and it was delicious. The rooms are spacious and perfectly planned. The playground is great for the kids, the property has toys and games for old and young and the dad told us everything about the history of the castle and how they have restored it. We can’t recommend a night or two at this castle enough. We hope to return again sooner or later and wish them the very best. Mille merci!
