Battery Valley Farm
Is perfectly located within The Somme to honour those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
Breakfasts are whatever you choose from a large variety of cooked and continental foods and it’s all delicious. The room availability for just the two nights I requested was accommodated. Muriel’s warm welcome, attention to every detail to enhance your experience and thoughtful kindness was lovely throughout.
Online booking stated check in only after 16.30, but on phoning Muriel, I was able to check much earlier as I wished.

Superb location, fantastic outdoor swimming pool, good parking. Hostess was very welcoming and provided an ample breakfast (her scrambled eggs are sublime) that reflected the attached working farm, e.g. fresh eggs, homemade yoghurt and fruit salad.
Only little quibbles such as no shower gels or shampoo provided. Also the heavy, winter duvets were not required in the heatwave.
