Brimslóð Atelier Guesthouse

Dinner there was awesome, breakfast was fantastic, everything was great!!

The house is beautiful; it has lovely touches that make it very cozy. It really feels like a family home. Every detail, down to the smallest ones, is designed to make you feel at home, and the breakfast is very hearty and delicious.

The location was fabulous, right on the water, crashing waves putting us to sleep at night, providing a backdrop to dinner. The family-style dinner included excellent, fine-dining-style food and a wonderful atmosphere for getting to know other guests. We had couples/families from 4 different countries at our table and loved to hear their stories.

Can't think of anything that could have been better. Even the weather cooperated! We enjoyed a hike to the nearby island in the Blanda River, and the ocean view from the hill just beside the old town.

The hosts were outstanding. They encouraged the dinner guests to mingle and share trip experiences which we did The room was warm and comfortable with an excellent shower and linens. The chef prepared meal was an experience in itself, a three course delight Breakfast the next day was hearty and delicious and the hostess that morning was so kind and we enjoyed talking to her. I felt like we were staying with good friends at their seaside home. The town is vey quiet but I did not feel the need to go off the property. The location on the ocean was beautiful. 10/10 one of the highlight of our road trip around Iceland

I was a little surprised that as I made my reservations 4 months ago, we did not get a room with an ocean view. I would have liked that and if I needed to ask for it , I never saw that option. Still our first floor room was delightful and the en suite bath was appreciated
