Hotel Gallo de Mar

I love the serenity of the place. Feels as if you are in an Amazon but in the middle of the coast. Franco and the front staff were phenomenal. I was in the terrace room without AC and they were able to accommodate me and put me in a room that had AC for the remainder of my stay. The proximity to the beach: stellar! The proximity to Main Street: stellar! It is literally walkable to any and everything! Proximity to our favorite coffee and fish taco spot: phenomenal! The ability to watch sunrises and sunsets each evening was magical🙌

There were several times (mid-shower) water cutoff. No electricity BUT both issues were resolved quickly. The mosquitoes were relentless (we don’t recall them being that bad last year). We had to douse ourselves in bug spray each time we went out.

The staff was lovely and helpful! Great location, close to the beach and the main street. It feels like you live in the jungle, there were so many beautiful plants and I really loved the general design. Highly recommend

The street to the hotel was very bad, it was rainy and the entire road was floated and was dark

Perfect location so close to everything! The staff were absolutely brilliant and so so lovely, very helpful. A bonus that they had a cat and her kitten so fun to play with

Cold shower, no pressure, 2nd bes extremely uncomfortable , room next to the entrance on the ground floor .. did not look as nice as the pictures
