Baba Dool

We moved from the busy side of the island to the quiet side, and enjoyed the peace and the sunsets, while it was only a short walk back over to the ferry. Baba Dool is a lovely colourful place, and our room had a view to the river. Rawia was very friendly and helpful, organising our 2 night felucca trip for a good price.

Not a biggie, we pushed the beds together, but a double bed is more comfortable

The view is amazing! You can seat and relax in their terrace at the edge of the Nile and watch the botanical garden in the island in front. It’s a very relaxed place close to nature and out of the noise of the city. The hotel is great, well decorated. The rooms are comfy and clean and have everything you need, the AC works well, they also have a mini fridge in the room. Rawia, the owner is a sweetheart 😍 she helped me with everything and was always so sweet. I checked in pretty late and she was in constant contact with me to help me arrive. I’m very grateful 🙏

The place is very clean right in the center you can go by frequent boat service from center to the island only in 15 egp 10 minutes boat ride LADY Owner is nubian SHE is highly educated formerly social worker speak English very well worked with ministry of education Very kind,very nice view of nile very peaceful right on bank of nile river

Every thing was good .value for money

The hotel is just a the bank of Nile river

To get to the hotel you have to walk for around 6-7 minutes. The main issue is if you have quite a heavy luggage, it's gonna have a problem for you. Secondly I booked a room with AC but they refused to give me a AC room and was saying I booked a room without AC. Though I showed them the proof from my booking page, they were not ready to accept. As a result I couldn't sleep for one entire night as the weather was quite hot. I had to make a complaint to Booking.com and the next day they gave me the remote for the AC. Also you should not keep asking for common things like Towels.
