Nine Streets Inn

Fabulous location! Right in the middle of the Jordaan district and Nine Streets - really vibrant area in amongst the famous canals. A mini supermarket across the road, coffee shop next door, and plenty of other cafes and restaurants nearby. I caught the bus from the airport (rather than train) as the apartment was less than 10min walk from the bus stop. Very easy check-in/check-out process with door codes sent to you beforehand. I only saw the owner once, but he was very friendly and easily accessible by phone if needed, and checked in to make sure everything was ok with my stay. The room was large (for Amsterdam standards), and very comfortable, overlooking the street. It had everything I needed for a short stay - fridge, coffee machine, adequate towels, and I really appreciated the pedestal fan in the room as it was 25 degrees the first day I was there (and the room gets lots of sunshine, so it was quite warm).

Not really a negative, but just something to be aware of (and something I had read in other reviews) is that the stairs to get up to the room are VERY steep and quite narrow (and you have 2 sets to get up). I needed to take my suitcase up/down separately to the other bags. So just be mindful if you have any mobility issues or limitations lifting heavy bags. The windows were a bit tricky to open - again not a reason not to stay here, but just to be mindful. I did close the windows at night to reduce the level of noise, though I didn't find it to be too loud (but may have been drowned out by the white noise from the fan that I had running at night).

Very nice room: comfortable and clean. Perfectly located for exploring Amsterdam. The neighborhood is lovely and pleasant.

Nine Streets Inn is in a great location. It's very clean(!) and the host is very responsive... to the extent that he is prepared to be.

While the "Inn" in its name can make you think it's an actual hotel, it's really more of an Air BNB. The beds and pillows leave a bit to be desired (and there was no alternative pillow available).
